About Mustang Home Goods

Mustang Home Goods began in Okinawa, Japan, where founder Mike Waring built his first furniture while stationed with the Navy. What started as a practical need for sturdy outdoor seating quickly grew into a passion for design. After leaving active duty and receiving a medical retirement from the Navy Reserve, Mike turned to woodworking as a way to create meaningful work and bring comfort and beauty into people’s lives.

A Philosophy of Craft

From the start, the goal has been simple: furniture that is beautiful, comfortable, and enduring. Built in a solar-powered New Mexico workshop with sustainable timber, eco-conscious finishes, and heirloom-quality craftsmanship, each piece reflects respect for both material and place.

Sustainability

We source timber from local sawyers and pair it with eco-friendly finishes and responsible textiles. Every choice reflects a commitment to the environment and the communities we support.

Artistry

Each design draws on Mike’s background in fine arts and influences from Japan, Morocco, and New Mexico. The result is furniture that balances visual beauty with practical purpose.

Endurance

Our pieces are made to be lived with, shared, and passed down through generations. They carry strength, comfort, and timeless style, aging gracefully as they become part of your home’s story.
